Was looking at trying some this year instead of straight soybeans. In years past the deer have not allowed my beans to grow at all. (1 acre plot) It says that it withstands early grazing. Anyone had any results?

I am going to plant it in April for the first time.
I have been in touch with there biologist for my area and that is what we came up with LabLab Plus or Outback Mix in the spring , it should take 3-5 weeks for plants to grow to 10-14 inch height...depending on moisture.
Fall plots should be done in Max Attract(Aug-Nov) and Monster Mix(September). these mixes will grow well into late spring.
But still no real experience with them
If it is heavily browsed you can put a 4 foot fence on top of a 3 foot fence hinged at the bottom of the top piece ???
and get it started for a few weeks then swivel the 3 foot piece up ( so both pieces are up in the air) for entry to the plot.
...or make bigger food plots ????

I planted the lab lab plus for the first time last year here in louisiana, i really didnt notice that the deer were tearing into it but the area i had my food plot in was surrounded by soybean fields, but by the time it was the time to plow and plant my fall plot, the lab lab was waist tall. The food plot that i had planted it on was less than 1 acre, the plot was beautiful though and there were barely any weeds in the plot. Im gonna give it one more try this year because the fields that surround my hunting area will be corn, so hopefully they will come to the lab lab more. Good luck.
Went to Gander Mountian today and they had the lab lab plus marked down so much it was cheaper to buy than the iron and clay peas I was going to plant in the spring. Was curious how any of the above plots turned out and any advice on planting?? How do you think it compares to soybeans (what I usually plant)?

Max attract is awesome the winter peas in it are hybrids and grow very fast. The lab lab plus has forage soybeans they grow much lager plants than regular soybeans. The plus also has ebony peas and sorghum. The sorghum is the only unattractive thing in the mix for me.I usually make a mix of
corn, black oil sunflowers, soybeans and Iron clay peas. The Iron clays were a running variety and ran up the corn and sunflowers it gave them more room to grow. The results were awesome. The usage was very heavy. For those considering spring plots,I recommend PLOT SAVER in the early stages.Soybean fields of less than 5 acres have little chance to survive early over browsing without it. Plot saver really works.Attached are two pics one of pea plot in Aug.Second is same plot in early Oct.(pic same angle).
