I borrowed a big kubota with a turn plow. I wanna turn some ground over next weekend but towards the end of the summer I may not have acces to the big tractor to turn it again. I figured in the fall I will use my 8N with the disc harrow and wont have to fight the fescue. Should I spray the turned soil during the summer several times with some roundup or with this cause my fall food plots to be poisoned also. I know when I spray it in my yard the grass comes back but with my luck If I spray my plots this summer they will never grow. Thanks for the info.

Should not be a problem plowing now, if the ground will let you.Sometimes with hard ground and the type of plow & tractor you have, disking first can make plowing easier.
Spray any time the temp is above 50-60 degrees, when plants are green and growing, read the lable. Round up bio-degrades in two weeks, you can do anything you want after that.

I have a 45 hp Kubota I bought in the fall of 2002. I am buying a subsoiler this year trying to improve the moisture retention in my plots. The 45 hp tractor will only pull a single shank subsoiler. The 68 hp model you are looking at will pull a double shank. I love my Kubota but a 68 hp for the larger plots would be much better.
