Here are some online sites that I have found to be useful and I have used cooperseeds for the chicory.

Hamman Farms (http://www.hamannfarms.com/)

Cooperseeds (http://www.cooperseeds.com/wildlife.php3?cat=2)

Selma seeds (http://selmaseed.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PLST&Store_Code=SSOS)

Ernstseed (http://www.ernstseed.com/)

Wild buffet (http://wildlifebuffet.com/?source=overture)

Big Game Pro shop (http://www.biggameproshop.com/foodplotstore.htm)

Whitetail Habitat (http://www.whitetailhabitat.com/habitat_charts.asp)

I would like to see if you guys have used these companies or others and also if take info from these and try to get your local feed stores to get different seeds to make you homemade brews.

I've used Albert Lea Seed House (http://www.alseed.com/) in Minnesota for clovers and rape. Good to deal with. They also have inoculant for clovers too.

Thayer, let me give you a tip. There's a seed company not far from here called Siemers Industries. They're located in Teutopolis, IL. Their website is horrible, but most of the local feed stores buy from them. If you will be buying seed in bulk you may try to become a distributor for them. A friend of mine did just that and the savings can be substantial.

You mean ... "Siemer Milling Company" (http://www.siemermilling.com/) ????

Sorry, I meant Siemer Enterprises, www.siemerenterprise.com

Again, their website isn't very good. It doesn't showcase wildlife at all. They have a catalog that is absolutely awesome, though.

Good links.

Here is another one:
Adams Briscoe Seed (http://www.abseed.com)

I usually get my seeds at MFA, but their web site not informative at all.

Don't forget that Ed Spin and the boys sell a great mix of brassicas, canola, etc. through this div. of QDMA. I ordered 20# and got an added bonus of Ed calling me and shooting the breeze for 30 minutes on his nickle. Bet he won't do that againsmileys/smiley4.gif I literally sucked his brain dry with questions. Guess I should have bought 40 pounds.smileys/smiley2.gif

tricuspid - I looked at the Michigan Branch's site. Saw lots of "good stuff" from Ed and others, but not how to order his seed mix. What did I miss? Can you provide a link? Thanks!

I called 800 209-3337 and told them I wanted to buy some brassicas mix. They took my phone number, and the next night, I got a call from Ed Spin. Hope this works for you too.

Charlieb, maybe Ed can jump in and tell us the preferred way to get his seed mixture. Mine was probably a very convoluted route. How 'bout it Ed?

Charlieb and bicuspid: visit the mid Michigan Branch site @

http//members.tripod.com/mmbqdm/ (http://members.tripod.com/mmbqdm/)

About 2/3 of the way down on the homepage is a link to instructions for ordering the brassica seed mix.

Its right below the link to the Wildlife Food Plots Book, 76 pages containing all the information you need to plant food plots using hand-held or ATV/garden tractor equipment.

Cooper Seeds is my primary source of seed and I have been very pleased with his selection, prices and quality. I am fortunate in that that my business travels carry me by his store a couple of times a month. It's nice not to have to pay shipping.
