Default Sight Pin Help

I need some help with sight pins. I currently have three pins red, green, and yellow on my bow. The problem is around sunset I can no longer see my red or green pins. I am red green color blind and can barely see the pins in good light. The bow is not fast enough to shoot one pin. Does anyone know of a sight that uses maybe blue or one that I can get with all yellow pins?
Thanks,
Scott

you can get some paint or fingernail polish and dap on the end of your red and green sights to change their color.

If I were you I would try a sight light first before you go out and buy brand new sights. A light will run about 20 bucks at the most and they make a huge difference in low light as long as your sights are fiber optic. Just a suggestion.

I thought about a light but I don't think Ohio game laws permit them. I will have to check.

You obviously associate a color with a certain range so just forget that and associate top, middle, bottom. Forget colors especially if your color blind.

Woodsman it has nothing to do with range. I would settle for three pins that I could see. The problem is I have tried three different sights and all have the three standard colors. If there is a sight out there that has three yellow pins I am will to give it a shot.

ohio doesn't allow a sight that projects a beam of light. kind of confusing, but i read this to mean a "laser sight". i think you'll be alright with a pin light. i use one if i'm hunting from a blind since my pins don't show at all inside a dark blind.
have you contacted the sight manufacturer to see if they'll sell you a couple yellow pins?

Never used one but have seen them and the sight lights do work great. They light up your pins, nothing else. You have to remember to turn them off every time though.

Default HHA all the way

The HHA OL550 series are a one pin easy adjust slider style sight (no-tools for pin adjustment and strong pin support). The GREEN pin is lit by 5' of fiber optic (10, 20 or 30 thousandths pins availabe)...I like the 20. It has a rheostat feature allowing you to adjust pin briteness by varying how much fiber optic is exposed to light. The sight housing also has a luminsescent ring which can be mated to the appropriate peep aperature for improved accuracy. Superb visibility in blinds and/or low light conditions. The sight is calibrated in one of two ways depending on bow speed and/or shooting ability: zero at 20 and at 40 yds OR zero at 20 and 60 yds using the numbered calibration tape...the difference between calibrations numbers for the two zeros will select the correct sight tape for your set-up....there are enough tapes included to cover bows from 175 to 350 fps. The sight is well constructed from aluminum not cheap plastic or thin metal. They typically run around $100 depending on model, do add noticeable weight, but quality is A-one! I don't have anything bad to say about this sight. Make sure to check for 'Totally Tooless' and 'Armor' on the package as some older models are still available in this sluggish economy. http://www.hhasports.com/sights/opt_lite_pro.htm

look for the g 5 reostat light.... it comes with different size threaded inserts to fit almost any of the newer fiber optic sights.....and u r aloud to use a light on your sight pins in ohio....u just can't use "anything that PROJECTS" a beam of light....such as a lazer or a flashlight duct tapped to your bow....that last one was a joke but it is ok in ohio to have a pin sight light.....like i said g5 makes a great one
