Several new SG550 videos - Bobcat, Coyote, Deer, Coons, Pigs
Finally getting around to posting some of the trail camera videos from last weekend's trip to the land. I'm still SUPER happy with the scoutguard and I guess I found the interstate highway of game trails!
Daylight video of a BIG bobcat:
2 coyotes moving through at night:
A coyote in the daylight. (I shot 3 of them last weekend so I might not have as many clips of coyotes for a while!)
Raccoon:

2 1/2 year old 8 point already with a broken tine:
Doublewide - I shot him the day after this clip was taken:
Really nice 2 1/2 year old 8 point. I saw this buck and passed on him the day before I shot Doublewide.
Another nice 2 1/2 year old 8 point.

And one of the few does that ended up on camera. I didn't see a single doe while hunting last weekend but saw 5 different bucks, 3 coyotes and a bobcat.
Not really sure what was going on here, but they were moving fast!
And I almost forgot the pregnant pig:
That's the best ones from the last 2 weeks. I've only had the SG550 out for 5 weeks now and I'm amazed at some of the videos that it has picked up on the trail. I did get a few back leg and hindquarter shots but overall it seems to be performing really well.
I may try to switch it to picture mode for a while and see how that turns out.

I think it is the best camera/video on the market for the price. I have well over 1000 videos and I am still on my first set of batteries.

Pretty darn good for a 200 dollar unit. Seems the second time you view the video you see what you missed the first time. I'm amazed that it caught that deer running unless that was the second one coming through. How soon does it reset for stills or video? My camera won't shoot again for a minute. I'd like to have 10-15 pics in a minute.

I'm pretty happy with the camera so far. Triggering has been consistent (it doesn't seem to fall asleep like some trail cameras I've had that for some reason won't take any pictures for days at a time even when they are over bait) and it is pretty quick. The videos are pretty neat and the settings are nearly unlimited on how long you want them to be and how long you want to wait between triggers. Some folks knock the picture quality of the stills, but some of the ones I've seen are pretty good. I will probably set it to take still pictures sometime pretty soon and check it out for myself but so far I'm still enjoying the videos too much. I do think that a good quality color daytime photo is better for aging and checking antler growth, but I had plenty of those from these deer eating from my protein feeder over the summer. I'm still shocked at all the predators that this thing got on film. Some of the clips I didn't post are really impressing as far as the sensor, I have to watch the clips 2 or 3 times sometimes before I see what caused the trigger. I do have some false triggers from wind but I have it in a pretty windy area and all my cameras have that issue.
I currently have it set to take a 10 second video and then wait for 5 seconds before taking another. Most of the time they animal moves through in the first 3 or 4 seconds of the video and if you are taking longer videos you are just wasting space on your memory chip. If another animal is coming by or the first animal sticks around a while the 5 second pause usually isn't so long that it misses much. 95% of the time it just triggers for the first 10 second video and that save a ton of space on the card.
